Temper Taming is a comprehensive, interactive, anger and emotions management group program designed to give children, families, and schools the necessary tools to better understand and more effectively deal with children’s disruptive behaviours (temper responses). Temper Taming teaches valuable and practical skills: identifying situational triggers and body cues, distinguishing between emotions, resolving conflict appropriately, and communicating effectively through active listening and being assertive.

Temper Taming engages children to identify their underlying feelings (frustration, embarrassment, sadness, fear, etc.) and to examine the thoughts that affect their subsequent choices. Temper Taming reduces risk factors for these children and increases protective factors.

Groups are available for children ages 6-13.

Fees: $160.00 for the 8 week group (subsidy may be availble). All course materials are included in the cost.
