Parenting with Passion at K-W Counselling Services has been offering quality parenting programs throughout the region for over 15 years. Our parenting program objectives are:

• To provide primary prevention and health promotion to families of our community;
• To provide parents with an awareness of human development and practical parenting skills to enhance their options in positive child rearing;
• To provide a supportive network for parents in today's rapidly changing society;
• To provide reliable, current materials and information on parenting to parents and other professionals in the community;
• To encourage parental confidence and trusting family relationships;
• To reduce child behavioural problems such as aggression;
• To reduce the potential for physical, emotional and sexual abuse in families;
• To reduce early school leaving.

Everyone is eligible for our universal parenting programs. We offer one night workshops as well as 6-8 week courses.

Registration: Pre-registration for all courses is required by telephone at 519-884-000 or online. Registration deadline is one week before group begins. Courses listed will be offered provided there is sufficient registration. Referrals are not needed for our parent education programs.

Fees: Fees are charged because high quality parent education is costly. Subsidies are available as required. Parents wishing to access subsidies are asked to contact Jen Smerdon at our main office at 519-884-0000 x222.
